The Under Instruction Long-Term Recovery Cohort offers hands-on vocational training that empowers you to develop real-world skills while supporting regional disaster recovery and housing resilience in communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Participants work side-by-side with skilled tradespeople and community partners. You will repair and rebuild homes in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene, gaining experience in home repair, construction, and green building while earning stipends for your participation.

Program Overview
The UI-LTRC program combines practical construction training with meaningful community service. Over 4 to 6 months, you will work side-by-side with skilled tradespeople, gaining real-world experience in home repair, construction, and green building while earning stipends for your participation.The program sparks curiosity about future careers, cultivates a spirit of service, and lays the foundation for success in advanced employment programs.
More than technical skills, you will develop employability, teamwork, and confidence, preparing you to step directly into the workforce or pursue advanced opportunities in the skilled trades.
