Five things you must know about Blue Note Junction

The journey begins! During May, we’re raising funds to help bring Blue Note Junction to life! This community-rooted project will bring together affordable housing, arts, wellness, and entrepreneurship in the Burton Street neighborhood.

Every dollar counts to bring the vision into reality. Here are five powerful reasons BNJ matters — and why your support can help bring it to life.

1️⃣ 100% entrepreneur-centered
All of the programming at Blue Note Junction is designed to support existing and aspiring entrepreneurs.

2️⃣ 8 spaces in one place
BNJ will include an indoor/outdoor performance venue, outdoor community spa, market, commercial kitchen, co-working and counseling center, hair salon and barber shop, artist studio village, and a Black history tour operator.

3️⃣ Housing is part of the vision
53% of renters in Buncombe County are cost-burdened. BNJ includes mixed-income apartments to help meet this need.

4️⃣ Youth workforce development is built in
Only 56.1% of high school graduates in Buncombe County enroll in postsecondary education within 12 months. All phases of the design and construction of BNJ will be used as workforce development and training opportunities for youth and young adults.
