Spring Fling 2026 is coming!
Important announcement: Out of an abundance of caution due to the weather forecast for this Saturday in Asheville, Spring Fling will be limited to our annual plant sale only. As a result, the vendor market and performances will be suspended. We’re so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We hope to see you at future events!
Every year, Hood Huggers hosts Spring Fling, a free, family-friendly community celebration featuring live music, local vendors, food trucks, libations, and the Peace Gardens and Market’s big plant sale. It’s a joyful, welcoming day full of music, food, community, and PLANTS! 🪴
What began as our annual plant sale with homemade drinks, snacks, and a live band has grown into a full-day festival with performers, kid-friendly programming, and vendors. Today, Spring Fling draws well over a thousand people throughout the day. Below are the details:

🎶 Live music all day
🍴 Food trucks and local vendors
🛍️ Artisan marketplace
🌳 Free tree and plant giveaway with Asheville GreenWorks
👨👩👧👦 Family-friendly activities
🌿 Open access to explore the gardens
🎉 Closing Parade featuring Street Creature Puppet Collective and Brass Your Heart, a joyful, high-energy celebration of music, movement, and creativity.
When: Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11 AM to 5 PM 🪴

Every purchase directly supports:
* Youth stipends and workforce development
* Environmental education in the gardens
* Free produce and CSA deliveries for elders
* The ongoing care of our gardens and public art installations
What can you do to support this event?
Volunteer. Volunteers will help with event setup, welcoming guests, supporting vendors, assisting with activities, helping with parking flow, and keeping the day running smoothly.
